We sing the 11:15 Mass on the first Sunday after Labor Day and every other Sunday until Pentecost. We also sing Christmas Eve, The Triduum, First Eucharists and Confirmation.
Using three and four-part harmony, rehearsals are on Thursday evening before the Sunday we sing – 7:00p.m. – 9:00 p.m.If you cannot read music, I can make tapes for you.
The Resurrection Choir
We sing for funerals, using a repertoire appropriate for Funeral Masses.
The Family Choir
Adults (and children) are welcome to join the Family Choir at Church of St. Benedict.During the school year we sing the 11:00 a.m. Mass every other week, rehearsing at 10:00a.m. the same Sunday.Harmony is optional, and you do not need to read music.
Cantors
Eight Masses per weekend have music and cantors as the leader of song.You do not need to read music; tapes are included with cantor packets for every season.
Music Ministry For Children
Wednesday Afternoon Choir
School-aged children practice for Thanksgiving on Wednesday afternoons beginning in October.We also sing for Christmas Eve. Taking a break during January, we resume rehearsals in February and sing for Easter morning.Social activities such as a Halloween Party and a Nativity play at Allied Summit in December are included.
Youth Choir
For young people aged 12-18, the Youth Choir follows the schedule of Our Lady of Snows choir and sings at the 9:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays every other week during the school year.
Instrumentalists
We welcome those who play flute, violin, oboe or guitar and can incorporate them in any Mass which is convenient.
